Bathroom scales
Most people have a love-hate relationship with their bathroom scales. We love them when we have lost weight and hate them when we have gained weight. However, whether we like it or not, our bathroom scales are one of the best ways to track our weight over time.
There are a few things to keep in mind when using bathroom scales. First, always use the same scale. If you use different scales, you will get different results and it will be difficult to track your progress. Second, weigh yourself at the same time of day, preferably in the morning before you have eaten or drunk anything. This will give you the most accurate measurement.
If you are trying to lose weight, your goal should be to slowly and steadily lose weight over time. A sudden weight loss is usually not sustainable and is often followed by a weight gain. So, don’t be discouraged if you don’t see a huge difference on the scale from one week to the next. Just keep going and trust that the scale will reflect your efforts eventually.
If you are trying to gain weight, you may see a more rapid increase on the scale. This is because muscle weighs more than fat. So, if you are working out and building muscle, you may see a quick increase in weight even though you are actually getting healthier.
The most important thing to remember about bathroom scales is that they are just a tool. They are not the be-all and end-all of your weight-loss or weight-gain journey. So, don’t get too discouraged or too excited by the numbers you see. Just use them as a way to track your progress and keep going.
